The ratio of the qualified dental surgeon was very low as compared to other medical faculties, this promoted the HKDE trust to establish a dental college, one that would serve the populace of Karnataka and a neighboring state. The Institute got off to a flying start under the guidance and the leadership of Shri. BASAVARAJ H. PATIL as chief trustee.
